SHOES
2/7/22-Biula, the head nun of El Valle, has informed me that the kids are in desperate need of shoes. Traveling far distances to get to school, most kids only have sandals or no shoes at all. Their journey consists of concrete, rocks, sand, etc. Let's take away their pain. Receiving a pair of sneakers would have a huge impact on their daily life. Let's provide it for them!

For this specific event, I was able to receive help from a club at my school called Students Helping Students. We set up a bake sale on Monday 2/7/22 and sold donuts, cookies, bagels, brownies, and more! In total, we were able to raise $253! Thank you so much to all who contributed, and especially Mrs. Higgins, the club advisor, for making this happen! <3

Results:
This event was a little different... Instead of sending the money over and receiving pictures, I had the opportunity to visit El Valle in person and hand out the shoes myself! Truly a life-changing experience. Being able to give each kid a pair of new shoes myself felt amazing! It made my heart so full! HelpHDR and the kids want to thank Students Helping Students for all their help!
